The results of the candidates approved for the Second Round will be announced via email.

MASTER CLASSES –

The program chosen by the candidate in the application form remains final and cannot be changed.
Candidates may not choose the same work in more than one stage of the Competition; Each title will be presented only once in the competition repertoire.
Candidates may present their repertoire works in any order.
All works must be executed from memory.
CATEGORY D (up to 30)
First Round
1. Johann Sebastian Bach: one fast and one slow movement of the candidate’s choice
from the Sonatas for solo violin
2. Choosing the candidate from the list presented below:

.The Erlkönig
Second Round
Free choice program up to 20 minutes
*If two works are performed, one must be with piano accompaniment.
Final
1. A violin concerto (1st movement) chosen by the candidate from:
• Felix Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in E minor Op. 64
• Niccolò Paganini: Violin Concerto No. 1 in D major Op. 6
• Johannes Brahms: Violin Concerto in D major Op. 77
• Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto in D major Op. 35
• Jean Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D minor Op. 47
CATEGORY C (up to 18)
First round
1. Johann Sebastian Bach: one fast and one slow movement at the candidate’s choice
from Sonatas or Partitas for solo violin.
*NOT CHACONNE
2. Free choice between: Paganini Caprice, Rode Caprice, Wieniavsky, Don’t Op. 38
Second Round
1. Fritz. Kreisler – Recitative and Scherzo
2.Virtuous piece on candidate selection
Final
• A violin concerto (1st movement) from the 19th or 20th century chosen by the candidate from
CATEGORY C (up to 14)
First Round
. One etude and a piece with piano accompaniment (up to 15 minutes)
Second Round
. Free choice program (Up to 15 minutes)
*If two works are performed, one must be with piano accompaniment.
Final
• A violin concerto (1st movement) chosen by the candidate from:
Mozart No. 3, 4 or 5 or a 19th or 20th century concerto
